Lac Saint Cassien

Well what can we say about this lake, It must be one of the best known Public Waters in France. It is located right down in the South of France in Department 83 Var in Provence. The lake holds most species of fish but is known for its Carp fishing with the lake record Common at 30.8 Kg (68lb) and Mirrors 35.2 Kg (77lb ) which was back in 1986 but there are still plenty of fish landed over 30 kg.

Like with a few of these lakes due to litter and rubbish left in the past night fishing is now prohibited so its just day fishing also you are not allowed to use any kind of BBQs , Fires or Gas stoves, so get a good flask. No Sacking of fish

Fish stealing is a big problem from Public waters if you see anybody removing large fish like Carp please take note of the vehicle registration and report to authorities.
