The dam located on the Agly is located 40 minutes from Perpignan, in the territory of 4 communes (Ansignan, Caramany, Cassagnes and Trilla).

This is a great water that is loved by Pike and Perch anglers. It is the only water body of the department to benefit from the possibilities of using boats to fish . From the shelter of the banks night fishing for carp is allowed from three different banks along its length (signposted) Crossed by the Agly, the water is 3.5 km long, 250 meters wide has an area of ​​273 hectares.

Fishing by boat is permitted on this one body of water throughout the year. Only craft equipped with buoys and life jackets and propelled by an electric motor or with oars are permitted. The wearing of leggings, waders is strictly forbidden. The maximum number of passengers per boat is limited to two. The number of lines per fisherman is limited to two, trolling is prohibited.

Please note – When fishing any Public waters in France please have respect for the location and clear up any mess that you have made and do not damage banks / vegetation and no open fires, Catch and release all fish except Trout and Salmon that rules let you take and when fishing for Carp use appropriate fishing tackle with large landing net and unhooking mat. Fish stealing is a big problem from Public waters if you see anybody removing large fish like Carp please take note of the vehicle registration and report to authorities.
