Old Bakery Gites at Gomene are made up of 3 different Gites / Cottages to cater for your every need, located in the heart of Brittany very close to some stunning Public Waters.
Wren Cottage-
Wren cottage is a fully renovated well appointed traditional Breton stone gite for 2 people located in the heart of Brittany in the village of Gomené, Côtes-d’Armor. It offers tranquil high quality accommodation consisting of a downstairs open plan kitchen living area and upstairs en-suite bedroom with double bed. It maintains its traditional charm with exposed beams and character stone walls. Beautiful rural setting but accessible from St. Malo and Caen ferries (1h15 and 2h25 respectively) and Dinard and Rennes airports (1h20 and 50 minutes respectively). Centrally located in Brittany we are within easy reach of historic towns such as Josselin and Moncontour, Brocéliande the legendary Arthurian forest at Paimpont and beaches are within an hours drive . Ideal location for sightseeing, birdwatching, walking, cycling, or just relaxing. The gite is within the grounds of our former farmhouse and bakery and whilst you will have full access to over an acre of stunning gardens with countryside and forest views your gite also benefits from its own private seating and BBQ area. Our swimming pool is also available for your use (Closed from end of October until Easter). The price is inclusive of bed linen and towels for in gite use (swimming pool towels can be hired). Wood burning stove and electric heating. WIFI.UK and French TV. Washing machine available for your use. The gite is self catering but as an optional extra (prices on enquiry) the proprietor, who is a qualified chef, can cook your evening meal and deliver to your gite or you may like to have breakfast in our traditional farmhouse kitchen (Not available over Christmas and New Year). If you’re looking for a romantic bolt hole or a restful base at the end of a days sightseeing or activities we could be the place for you. Sorry not suitable for persons with mobility difficulties.
Nightingale Cottage-
Nightingale cottage, at the Old Bakery gites, is a fully renovated well appointed traditional Breton stone gite for 4 people located in the heart of Brittany in the village of Gomené, Côtes-d’Armor. It offers tranquil high quality accommodation consisting of a downstairs open-plan kitchen-living area, upstairs is one double bedroom and a second bedroom with single bunk beds, and a shower room with toilet. It maintains its traditional charm with exposed beams and character stone walls. Merlin Cottage-
Merlin cottage, at the Old Bakery gites, is a fully renovated well appointed traditional Breton stone gite for 6/7 people located in the heart of Brittany in the village of Gomené, Côtes-D’Armor. It offers tranquil, spacious, high quality accommodation consisting of a downstairs large open plan kitchen living area from which you take a spiral stair case to the landing to the landing giving access to three comfortable bedrooms and shower room with WC. The master bedroom, with 4-poster double bed, has great views over open fields to the woodland beyond, the second bedroom has a double bed and the third has a single and set of single bunks, both the second and third bedroom overlook the courtyard and gardens.
