Reservoir de Gouet / Saint Barthelemy is a stunning water of almost 200 acres located at Ploufragen Tremuson about 10 mins from Saint Brieuc. It has some wild banks and some areas have limited shore fishing but it is worth the effort as it is the home to some monsters mainly known for predator fishing with huge Perch and Zander to over a meter and pushing 10Kg and Pike to over 1.2 meters upto 20 Kg.The carp can be hard to locate but when they go to 25Kg plus it is worth the trouble.
Please note – When fishing any Public water in France please have respect for the location and clear up any mess that you have made and do not damage banks / vegetation and no open fires, Catch and release all fish except Trout and Salmon and when fishing for Carp use appropriate tackle with large landing net and unhooking mat. Fish stealing is a big problem from Public waters if you see anybody removing large fish like Carp please take note of the vehicle registration and report to authorities.
