Set in the heart of rural Brittany, Port-Louis cottages consist of two self-catering gites, surrounded by rolling fields and quiet country lanes. Port-Louis is situated in St Connec, a small village which lies between three Breton towns: Pontivy, Loudeac and Mur-de-Bretagne (see attractions in the area).
Our two family run gites are in a newly renovated barn and have been designed in a comfortable, country chic style, perfect for people looking to take in the relaxing and serene surroundings of the Breton countryside. They stand on a ¾ acre site which is 10 minutes walk from the village centre. There is also ample off-road parking.
Being in the centre of Brittany, Port-Louis Cottages are a perfect base to gain access to the whole region. Whether your holiday requirements are for peace and quiet, sight seeing, or you prefer something more active we believe Port-Louis Cottages and the surrounding region have something to suit your needs.

Our Gites
Port-Louis Cottages, or gites, are named Papillon (Butterfly) and Bourdon (Bumblebee) in keeping with the natural Breton surroundings. Each gite has a large and spacious open plan ground floor encompassing lounge, kitchen and dining room. They are equipped with modern appliances, comfortable furnishings and a TV with Freeview and a DVD player with a range of DVDs for you to use.
Many of the original features such as tiled floors, exposed timbers and a fireplace have been retained to give the cottages a more homely feel. Each has a fully equipped fitted kitchen with everything you would expect to find (kettle, toaster, microwave, oven and hob) as well as a slow cooker to make your days as easy as possible! We have even included outdoor crockery and cutlery in case you want to take a picnic out with you. There is also a range of cookbooks so that you can try out some traditional French cuisine!
Each bathroom has shower, toilet, washbasin, shaver point and there is a utility room attached to the gites which contains a “mini-library” and access to a freezer so you won’t need to shop for fresh food everyday! A washing machine is also available in the utility room.
At the rear of the gites, there is a private patio with garden furniture and BBQ facilities. The patio benefits from the sun from about 1.00pm through to sunset.
